Infant Communication

Children begin to learn how to communicate long before they utter their first word. Babies often babble, squeal or cry to get their point across and may also be taught to use simple signs to express their thoughts and needs. Toddlers quickly learn how to use the first few words of their vocabulary to convey simple and then increasingly complex messages.
