Training The Pain Away Is Critical


I enjoy Pilates, this gentle balancing exercise always gets discussion on whether it achieves anything.  I think men particularly are sceptical because to them, unless you’re thumping your way around a fully fitted gym, maybe in the weights room, then nothing less is going to do you any good.  Wrong!  I cannot go a day without using my training – a couple of days and I would be in absolute agony with back and leg pain, not to mention the lack of mobility in the ankles and hands . . .

To achieve the mobility I do, I fully appreciate the training that my tutor takes – yes, it is her only income, holding many classes a week, in villages spread out for miles around here.  My colleagues also feel gratitude to our leader who spends hours of non teaching time being trained and learning new techniques to help us.
